Avoiding Damage to the Boardwalk Exhibition Centre:
Every reasonable precaution should be taken when constructing or working on a stand to ensure that no damage is caused to the floor and walls of the venue.
Exhibitors shall NOT:
- Allow the drilling of holes, driving in of nails or screws, and painting or in any other way allow any damage to be done to any floor, walls, ceiling, windows, doors, fixtures or fittings of any building in the area or on the property of the Boardwalk Exhibition Centre. Exhibitors are advised to devise alternate methods of stabilising structures, e.g. foot plates.
- Allow the removal of any railing or demarcation equipment, plant, material or in any other way cause damage to the same.
- Without the prior written consent of the Organisers, which will be unduly withheld:
- Suspend any object from any ceiling or roof construction;
- Tamper with, or make any changes to any electrical or other technical installation or reticulation in the venue or on the property.
- Bring any article into any building in the venue, which would exceed the floor loading limits;
- Allow washing or cleaning of paint equipment anywhere other than in the facilities provided for this purpose.
- In particular, Exhibitors shall not use any of the toilet facilities for this purpose.
- Use Flammable liquids / open flames, and gas under any circumstances. (Except if you are a Food Vendor and have applied in writing to the Organisers a michelle@homemakers-sa.co.za)
- The Exhibitor concerned shall be responsible for and shall repair, to the satisfaction of the Boardwalk Exhibition Centre, any damage to the property and the venue, and failing to do so within seven days after the last date, the Boardwalk Exhibition Centre may, without notification to the Organizers and at its sole discretion, carry out repairs to restore the property and recover from the Exhibitor the cost and expense thereof, which shall be payable on demand.
Smoking Policy:
No smoking will be allowed inside the Boardwalk Exhibition Centre Basement.
Please do not smoke in front of the Entrance and Exit. Thank You.
